Biomass boiler turning sawdust in into bioenergy at Bombala softwood mill
Korean-owned lumber company Dongwha Australia has constructed a $10-million boiler to turn sawdust into bioenergy at its Bombala softwood mill in NSW.
Dongwha Australia has chosen Justsen Pacific to deliver a biomass boiler system to allow them to sever their connection to natural gas for heating their timber drying kilns. The high-pressure hot water, 15MWth boiler system uses green sawdust as fuel and delivers 180ºc hot water into the timber kilns to dry Dongwha’s products.
