Lagoon issues put a stop to Leslie Dairy demo site

Leslie Dairy was chosen as a demonstration site for anaerobic lagoons. The demonstration did not proceed because of lagoon-related factors such as:

  • too shallow and too small
  • considerable ‘crusting’ issues
  • walls too steep to remove the cover without damage
  • required too much maintenance at the beginning for the owners.
